Les SOLDES

As far as I can remember I scribbled. I’ll doodle on pieces of paper while having my morning coffee, on paper napkins at restaurants, talking over the phone and throughout meetings. Before trashing them, I sometimes cut out little details I find interesting and keep them in a box. The box got bigger and bigger and once in a while I had to find a bigger box. I've always been curious to know how these little creations would look like on a large wall.
The opportunity arrived in January 2006 at Le Monte en L’air, a comic book store that serves as a gallery for comic book artists. About 600 of these little creations were on display in an exhibition titled "Les Soldes" (French for clearance sale), in part because the opening coincided with the seasonal sales period.
All works are smaller than a quarter of a A4 paper size.
